Commuter dismayed to not witness any racial abuse on way to work
South London commuter Oliver Butters was left dismayed and furious as his train journey this morning passed without even a hint of racial abuse.
Boarding the 8:47 from East Croydon to London Victoria, the Southern Rail train was packed with all people from diverse ethnic backgrounds, all ages, and classes. Mr Butters has his mobile phone primed and ready as he has seen what he believed to be working class single mother. He continues:
“When I got on the train I was excited, I was sure that today I would get some good footage of a neanderthal being racist and telling some ethnic minority or other to go home. I usually get some good video on the 8:47, then upload in to YouTube, under the guise of shaming but really to monetize the video, however this morning. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Just everyone sitting there, getting along, not even a hint of a racist incident. If I’m being honest, I was furious about it.”.
A Southern Rail spokesperson confirmed that the 8:47 from East Croydon to London Victoria did pass without any racist incidents.
