Personal data is defined as any information relating to a living individual from which he or she can be identified (such as a person’s name, address and date of birth).
The personal data that we collect consists mainly of the names, addresses and contact details of those using our website (“Users”) and any other information necessary for us to be of service to our Users and provide the facilities that our Users require. This data is collected via whichever means you log in, whether direct to our website or via an application such as Facebook or other social media sites.
Personal data is held on our database, in back-up form and in archive form. Hard copies of information on our database may occasionally be made where necessary to provide our services. Photocopies may occasionally be made of manual records. This data is used for account operation and in order to communicate with users of the website. Further, we only use personal data responsibly and in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the European Union.
Access to our database is restricted through the use of passwords. Records may be retrieved, consulted, adapted, modified, copied or deleted from time to time. We will endeavour to take all reasonable steps to keep all data accurate and up to date but we rely upon our Users to inform us of any material changes
We will maintain confidentiality in your information and aside from the categories already mentioned your information will not be disclosed to anyone else except where we are legally compelled to do so, where there is a duty to the public to disclose, where disclosure is necessary to protect us, or any of our associated companies or users’ interests or where the disclosure is made with your consent or at your request.
If your account is inactive it will be closed automatically and all data relating to your account will be deleted from our systems. If we receive notification from you that you wish to cease using our services then we shall use all reasonable efforts to ensure that your personal data is deleted from our systems within one week.
